White streaks in hair?!? !

I have lovely "dread" locks but I'm becoming inceasingly bored with them. I do up-dos from time to time but I really wamt to try something different. so I want to start putting color in my hair. I'm thinking of streaks of white for winter. I'm still alittle iffy on how it will come out..any suggestions?
