Hey girls. So I'm having a bot of a problem. I'm still in school and at least 2x a class period, I get up to get a big squirt of germ x. At home, I probably use it 10-12x a day. I don't know why, I don't sniff it or anything, I just like having it. I'm kinda worried its drying my skin out, my cuticles (4 diff ones) have bled in a week, it's also really windy and I don't wear gloves when waiting for the bus, so I'm not sure. Help?

Bath and Body Works sells hand sanitizer in the form of lotion I believe. Try that out, at least it will be less drying.

Don't use those too much. It's bad if you use too much because it lowers your immunity. It kills most bacteria and leaves the really stubborn ones. It's best to just wash ur hands properly with normal soap.

I'm obsessed with this new alcohol free hand sanitizer I found! Its called safeHands, www.getsafehands.com. I love how it is a foam-based sanitizer, comes in several amazing scents and colors, and has some kind of moisturizing agent that leaves my hands so smooth! I like this so much better than alcohol-based hand sanitizers, which usually smell terrible and are super sticky. Also, have you all seen the news on all the recent deaths of children who accidentally ingest alcohol-based hand sanitizers? It's becoming so dangerous these days, which is why I only use safeHands.

Woah. Way too much. Your skin absorbs the rubbing alcohol from it so not so healthy. I think you need to start fidgeting more or look into being assessed for OCD? Are your hands feeling dry? Maybe a moisturizer instead? You need certain beneficial microbes for that healthy supple skin. Also too germ free of an environment can weaken your immune system. Just wash ur hands after bathroom and before you eat. Don't touch your face.

Wow. Definitely stop using it so many times. This is so drying for the skin. Also the skin needs some bacteria not all of it is bad and should be washed away! Instead start physically washing your hands, this will be far less drying and afterwards use a hand cream.

if you have to use it that many times, try to follow it with a good lotion. it's really not necessary to sanitize that much though. you need to be exposed to some germs to help keep your immune system strong.
