I have somewhat bad acne, and I get blackheads everywhere, I use proactiv, but when I use it It works, but it drys out my skin. and I don't know what foundation to use, I want something that would cover up my blemishes , and help on trying to get rid of my dry skin, because I hate wearing makeup that looks so cakey

I use proactiv, too. It dries out my skin even though I have oily skin so I wear an oil free moisturizer under my makeup all the time. I use covergirl clean foundation for oily skin but they have it in normal an sensitive too. I really like it, and it has about medium coverage, maybe. I don't think it looks cakey at all.

First find out if you should use Benyzol or Salytic Acid based products...which one helps your acne? Help your acne, cleanse your face, moisturize it before switching your foundation.

I have been dealing with acne since I was 15, I'm now 22. I've gone through a lot of products trying to figure out what helps. I've even changed my diet! But what has worked the absolute best for me and my acne prone skin is Clinique Acne Solutions. They have a proactive type system, but it uses mostly salicylic acid instead of benyzol peroxide, which my skin became allergic to. As well is they have a great foundation in this line that has salicylic acid in it. So they make up is actually treating you skin as well. I love this foundation and have been using only clinique makeup for years, as you know what's in it and its all hypoallergenic. The only con is that Clinique can get expensive. but I find my foundation can last months and I get great coverage. So if you can, I would definitely give Clinique a try.

I think neutrogena healthy skin liquid makeup would work well for you. make sure to use a good moisturizer at night time or a different time than your proactive to help counteract the dryness you get! either that or maybe try a different skin care line... for more sensitive skin. just a thought! good luck girly

Try looking into Rodan + Fields skin care. I also use their mineral peptides. I use this over Laura Mercier oil free tinted moisturizer.

I recommend mineral makeup for foundation. It doesn't have a bunch of chemicals to irritate your acne, in fact it should help calm!! I like La Bella Donna mineral makeup. As for using Proactive- it us extremely drying and uses Benzoyl Peroxide- I prefer Salicylic Acid. Good luck!!
