So ive been really wanting to try Monistat i have combination oily skin and ive heard it helps you stay matte throughout the day & is a great primer. My question is which one does what ? Do they both do the same or which one is better? & is there any issue with wearing it daily? i think i read somewhere it was harmful for the skin cuz of ammonia? idk anyways Hopefully some of you guys who have already tried them can answer. Thanks Dolls :)

Ammonia? In which? You could try them, I wouldn't bc like Maggie said there are plenty of products made for the face and I wouldn't risk it. But if you want to use them I suggest trying both and seeing what happens. For oily skin mom seems to be best, whereas monistat can be used with any skin type.

if you do decide to do the MOM, there's a tutorial on it by the beauty vault on youtube. i like her.

I would be afraid to use either, but if I had to absolutely try one I would go for MOM. Monistat contains an antifungal and I would not want that near my eyes. Maggie made some good points. I would look for a product that is formulated for ur face.

I use MOM n swear by it. I've had no bad reactions. I only use it on my t-zone which is oily. It stays matte for hours. I love it. Yes it does have a very low Ph level but we're always putting all types of stuff on our face ...

I've been using monistat for about a month. so far so good. it seems to work very well keeping my makeup in place.

I use both in the summer. I have no issues with either. The monistat is a good primer but the moms keeps my face from getting oily through the day. My skin is very sensitive & I have no issues.

I've used the Monistat Chafing Gel as a primer for months & love it. I've never had an issue with it. It's silicone based & reminds me a lot of the Smashbox Primers. Idk about putting the Monistat CREAM on your face but the Chafing Gel formula is suppose to be used on areas of your body that rub together to prevent chafing basically. The gel acts as a barrier between the two & does the same on your face.

Don't be afraid to try MOM. It won't harm your skin, and is safe to use daily. I put it on my face like a mask for 5-10 minutes every morning and rinse it off before I start my normal makeup routine. As for Monistat, I've never tried but I've heard it's more like a makeup primer than something to treat oily skin.

I use MoM and it does the trick. The Monistat thing is new to me...

I have used the MOM but I am not using it as much because it makes my foundation hard to blend. If you are oily at all I wouldn't try the monistat either. It has silicone in it and silicone will not help your oilies. It will likely make it worse.
