Whats Your Opinion About Breast Implants?

I always suggest for women to get silicone implants. The silicone in the market these days is VERY high quality & wont need to be replaced for 30-40 years. Plus, it's both the most natural feeling & looking. Saline is quite a cheaper option. They're not as soft looking & can actually be harder than the Silicone. They don't necessarily "move" when you jump, etc. They are usually put in when girls want that 'hard' look.

If you're looking for a more natural look, ALWAYS go under the muscle. Under the muscle will let the implant flow with the natural curve of your body & helps create the illusion that the implant is actually natural breast tissue. Putting it over the muscle can be a disaster, especially if you don't have much breast tissue to work with. All you're see is implant! (Google Victoria Beckham boobs & you will see exactly what I'm talking about)

I know quite a bit about the subject, so if you have any other q's, I can quite possibly help. =]

Well I don't have them but I do have big breast lol & to be honest I think they're a hassle. I have back pains & it's hard to stay standing for a good while. I think your better off without them , your already really pretty:)

If you do get them, go subtle. You don't want breasts that look obviously fake. I think "subtlety" in ANY plastic surgery case is very important.

You all have some real good points adrianna thanks for the compliment :) but u and alyssah are right my friend has big breast and she says she feels like there in her way and her back always hurts idk I just really want to look fuller on top all my friends have big boobs and whenever were in our swim suits I feel so weird like if I have none at all I dont want them to big just enough to feel a lil more confient in a nice bakini. Thanks stephanie if I ever do decide to go thru with it I will most definitely remeber what u said. Thanks girls for your opinions im really taking them underconsideration

Also bear in mind - like many things ... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. The cheaper the procedure, the less realistic they will look.

I had mine done and don't regret it one bit! But can't stress enough to do your research in the doctors an the types of implants and the different ways to have them done..under muscle, over muscle, types of incisions, etc...don't be afraid to tell the surgeon what exactly you want and don't want..again do as much research as you can! Good luck!!

I'm about to go to bed because I have a hair appt super early but I wanted to throw some quick things out for ya!

I have saline implants. I got mine...4 1/2 years ago. I love them. People tend to say silicone is more "realistic" but I worked in multiple strip clubs for 5 years and have many friends who have both saline and s ilicone implants and it really just depends on the dr. I love mine so much, and I've been told people are surprised they're saline because they're soft and squishy.. aftercare is important. And a good dr.. seriously. I went to my dr because I knew a f ew other girls who did, and I have a friend who got hers redone after I did mine because she was never happy with her results and now that she went to my dr, she's very happy. My dr was REALISTIC with me, and I was torn between getting medium profile or high profile and a bit bigger and he told me to go with the smaller size. It was only a small difference but he knew the look I was going for, and it wasn't baseball tits! ;) So any dr who thinks the bigger the better is not a dr you want to go to. A good dr should work with you and what you want and not try to press any method on you. My dr did most of his work through the nipple, but I wanted my incision underneath, so he did it. I'm glad that's how I got mine done. If I ever get any other work done I will go back to him. I felt so comfortable and was never nervous at all!

I could go on and on about specifics of what I have and what I did but I have to get to sleep! One other thing though that I just remembered was if you do do it, remember that it is 2 separate surgeries. They will not necessarily change at the same rate after surgery! One of mine dropped very quickly and the other didnt, so I was lopsided for a bit. If you broke both ankles, theres no guarantee they would heal the same way at the same pace, so that's something to really remember because you don't want to be surprised/scared/disappointed when that happens.

Hope I was helpful and if you have any more questions feel free to ask! I would send you pics of my progression after getting them done but I lost them all in a computer crash a few years ago :(

ouch, IZA, that is not 100% true of ALL small surgery centers :/ any doctor or surgeoun can be sued over infection due to neglect and most take extreme care and pride in their practices, and many hospitals spread MRSA just as well. Again researching the doctors, their facilities, the methods of procedures is all part of the work one needs to put in when considering cosmetic surgery.

"You were given this gorgeous body, why permanently modify it to change how it's shaped?" Because what is gorgeous to you, may or may not be gorgeous to this person considering implants. We don't have to like what we ended up genetically developing.

You're against permanently modifying your body, but you're for piercings, tattoos & you want a breast reduction? what?

For the longest I have been wanting brest implants but im so scared for what can happen down the line of getting them and being in surgery... does anyone have them? Whats your opinion about it?

Jan 9, 2013

Stephanie M.

If you want them, get them. It's your body. Do whatever makes you happy. Just really research your surgeon. Typically superficial cities (Vegas, LA, Miami) are your best bet for cosmetic surgery because they do them all day long. I've had a few surgeries of my own and don't regret it one bit. You should choose a surgeon who specializes in a specific surgery. Choose a surgeon that does JUST breast enlargement. My opinion is Asians are the best surgeons because they are natural perfectionists and have small hands.

if you want them, get them. I never have had breast implants but mine are naturally pretty big. I'm fifteen and I'm all ready having insanely bad back pain, and I can't even go shopping in the mall without a cart to hold my purse. I'd rather be deducted from my DDs to a C, don't go to big

I don't have them and I dont particularly have large breasts either, I mean if you really want to go through with it, then by all means do, but in my opinion I wouldn't, just cos I've heard so many bad storys on how it can go wrong and I couldn't be doing with that! but on a positive note I have a couple of friends who had it done, and they haven't had any problems with them..so far.

There is a risk with any surgery but you can minimize that risk by doing a lot of research and finding the best most reputable doctor you can. I also suggest going to several well respected doctors for consultations because many of them will have different styles and opinions. That's what I did and I ended up choosing my doctor because he was very open and honest and told me right away that he doesn't do anything unnatural. I was scared too but if you choose a good doctor they will be open and address all of your fears honestly so you know every single detail of what will happen and what could happen. I can't stress enough that you need to shop around though. Find someone who only does cosmetic surgery and don't me shy about asking questions about his practice and education.

Exactly. Breast implants are typically around 8 to 14 thousand. Depends on surgeon and location. You'll get your price quote at your consultation.

10 years ago I looked into getting mine done. It all boils down to you my dear because its your body. All the gals made great points on this thread. I ended up not getting a boob job because shortly after my search I found out I carry a cancer gene and the implants would make detection difficult.

Realself.com is a great site to read real life accounts from both plastic surgeons and patients for any cosmetic surgery, especially breast implants.

If it would make you happy an feel better about yourself then why not? Over the years I have thought about it a lot myself, I still am to be honest. I have tiny boobs that recently got even smaller because I lost weight. I didn't lose it for any reason I think it was just baby weight. I've always been really thin so the chances of me putting weight back on and gaining boobs is pretty small. Anyway sometimes I feel a bit depressed about it, sometimes I don't care because I am thin so I don't look too bad but then other times I feel out of proportion because I have quite big hips. The main thing that puts me off is whether it would look natural or not, because I am so thin and my boobs are so small I'm afraid they would end up looking like balls stuck to my chest :P Anyway think about it long and hard and if in the end you feel like implants will make you happy then go and talk to some doctors about it.
