How to make acne scars fade and how to prevent acne

I hate acne whenever I get a pimple or something I always find the urge to pop them and they always leave noticable scars.......HELP!

1. Stop popping your pimples. Find an effective spot treatment and learn to conceal like a champ.

2. Microdermabrasion/exfoliation. Basically the only way to really fade out the acne scars is to take off a layer of skin. You should be exfoliating regularly, but microdermabrasion will fade scars that have been around for a long time. The home systems aren't as effective as a dermatologist, but they'll make a difference too.

3. A peel will basically do the same thing in terms of taking off a layer of skin. You can go to a dermatologist, buy home peels (not for the faint of heart and I wouldn't recommend it if you don't know what you're doing) or try DIY kitchen versions such as yogurt (lactic acid) and such.

4. Products that contain retinol, AHA's and BHA's (alpha and beta hydroxy acids) are also effective. Look for products that claim to "lighten" or "correct dark spots". Those usually have the necessary ingredients. Don't be put off by anti-aging claims...just read the labels.
