How do you get curls to stay?

Make the curls tight and use ALOT of hairspray. You Could also try ti pin the curls after and take out the pins when you are ready to go out. Hope this hlped hun :)

I have hard to curl hair and what Jalyn said works for me, I pin the sections to my head right after I curl them and then take them out once they're cool.

Buy pin curl clips. As soon as you finish each curl, pin curl it before it cools. Spray it a lil with hairspray, you don't need that much. At night pin curl it again to reduce heat usage.

Tease the end of the curl with a backcomb...well not tease as such just out the comb in then pull it up a bit.

Don't curl ur hair after u blow dry it that will make the curls loose so either u let ur hair dry naturally and curl it pinning each strand u curl with a bobby pin or u blow dry ur hair and curl it the day after

Start with hair that has dried mousse/gel in it. (If u need to dry in on low with a blow dryer. Then use hair spray... Lots. And spray it over your head so they don't get too crunchy. Hope it helps!
