Ombre hair,yes or no?

Hi :-) Has anyone got experience with ombre hair? I will try it on me but hope it won't harm my hair soo..what do you think? Should I do it? I mean its not a big deal,right?

Ive done ombree it looked soooo pretty but yet it had damaged the bottom of my hair :/ it looked like a broom! Lol so i ended up changing itback after a month and cutting the tips but i mean u can try it might be different for each hair
