I can help you on the velvet nails, as I had that manicure on last week. There is a brand called ciate, it does a velvet manicure set, it comes in three colours, a dark blue, berry and mink. The set includes the base colour, these velvet particles and a brush. You apply 1 coat of the base colour to each nail as per normal and let them dry, but when it comes to the 2nd coat, apply it to one finger and whilst its wet sprinkle the velvet particles, dust off any excess with the brush, then do the same with the next nail.
