It says that it's for already existing hair and it doesn't actually make your hair grow, but it helps to keep it healthy and strong!

I used it a couple of years ago and it did make my hair longer. Not crazy long, but I noticed a difference and took pics every other week to see if it was helping. I usually don't believe in that because hair growth is determined by genetics and that sorta thing, but I did notice my hair growing faster than it normally does (which is slowwwwww). I stopped using it though, because the smell and I felt like it made my hair look dull. It most definitely is not for color treated hair because it really stripped my hair color faster than any other shampoo I've use, so that was another reason I quit.

I don't think it'll make your hair grow, because like you said, that's left up to genetics. Especially if it doesn't even claim to make hair longer. There's a possibility that it could've weighed your hair down, which is often confused with growth rate.

My hair is color treated, so if it really does strip hair color faster, I'm not sure if I'm going to like this product! :(

I just started using it and my hair is color treated Idk if the dulling is true but it does giv my hair a slightly weird texture but I add a little other conditioner/purple conditioner (and I do a weekly deep conditioner) and it feels fine as for growing longer and stronger I havnt used it long enough to know but I hope :p.

The weird texture could definitely be leftover product weighing down your hair like I mentioned before, it's often confused with hair growth because it weighs your hair down making it look a little longer.

I've used the spray in treatment and didn't see any results but it was free after mail in rebate so I can't complain lol.
