My hair got knotted around my headband...

I had similar experiences. ^ My hair gets extremely tangled when I do the headband curls. I even had a shower cap on, it was ridiculous. Some hair even came out of the headband. This was more than just one time too.

I definitely recommend bobby pin curls or rollers.

You could put your hair in plaits before you go to bed. It gives such an amazing effect xx

I have thick hair also, and my hair doesn't curl either so I use these overnight foam curlers by Revlon. They are only like $5 at a local drugstore. They come in different sizes too! Hope I helped :)

I have really thick hair too what works best for me is the following:
once a week few hours before washing them put a generous amount of oil, I use natural argan oil but you can use coconut, on the whole length, cover with a shower cap and leave for at least an hour, the longer the better,
shampoo and condition as normal, dry your hair using a cotton tshirt and not a towel, it less damaging and help to maintain the natural curls,
spray a generous amount of leave in conditioner and comb your hair slightly with your finger, avoid brushing or combing, you should only do so when still in the shower and never when dry or damp,
take section of your hair spray slightly with gel spray and than use the bobby pins curls method,
in the morning simply take off the pin, shake your hair and if you like spray some lightweight hairspray. when you go sleep again make sure to put your hair up using the pineapple method so that the curls won't get damaged. also if possible always use silk pillow covers.

Your hair doesn't have to be wet. I usually just do it while it's dry. I've never tried doing it while it's wet, you should though! It could be better xx

After a shower make two french braids with a curl or wave enhancer product and take them the morning. You'll end up with mermaid type waves but something else you can try and would look pretty with thick hair.

I have thick and curly hair but I'm not too fond of my natural curls so every night before going to bed, I just braid my hair and when I wake up in the morning, I have gorgeous curls.

"So I have really thick hair and I am looking for a easy fast way to curl my hair in the morning. When I try to use a curling iron though it doesn't work."

Avery K My hair is straight Asian hair, quite thick, and I was given a G3 Salon Pro hair styling iron/straightener just before Christmas. The first day I tried it was a disaster - I just could not get the hair to curl as I wanted. However, after watching the review I realized I was 1. taking too much hair each time 2. I was not curling section by section. Now I have got it down to 15mins. Your hair being MUCH longer will probably take quite a bit longer. Watch it and see if it helps you karminhairtools.com/karmin-g3-salon-pro let me know if it is helpful.
