I want to buy some hair extensions but I have no idea where to start. I know I want about 14 inch but I just want them for making my ponytail longer so I don't know how many clips I should get or how to match my hair colour properly.

You could go to a beauty supply store and have them match it for you. Tell them what you want it for and they'll find the exact amount you need. Or if you order online, try to match your hair to the closest color possible. Some people actually buy extensions and then dye them to match their hair color.

Make sure you get actual hair instead of synthetic. Synthetic will burn if you use heat on them and you won't be able to dye them either.

Thanks shanae and hailey. I've tried the ponytail trick before but my hair isn't think enough and the bottom one is really obvious.

Bobby pins and hairspray make it a lot less noticeable.
