I exfoliated with coconut oil and after washing off the excess oil, I put on a cream that I always use (its never done this before) but now I have a slight burning sensation just on my cheeks. What could have caused this, and what could I do to make it stop? thankss.

Some people have a really bad reaction to coconut oil on their skin. Put some cool aloe on your problem area and it should clear up within the next couple of hours.

Your skin could simply be sensitive to coconut oil. Or since you just exfoliated the more active ingredients in your moisturizer are being absorbed deeper which can cause that warming, I'd avoid putting more product onto it for a little bit simple wash your face with cool water and if it doesn't stop within an hour try a soothing milk and oatmeal remedy
