So I'm going to get my nails done today! I have short nails and want to either get acrylics done or Gel nail extensions! Want to know witch lasts longer and how long it usually takes?? Thanks in advance!!

In my opinion gel nails last longer but it takes about 45 min

Get nails are stronger. Acrylic break more easy. But as for lasting longer both grow out same amount of time.

Lucky (Grace T) I want to get my nails done but I'm not aloud to. But get what you like don't worry about what everyone else thinks it's your nails not someone else's.

Acrylics last long. But it does do damage to your normal nail. I have acrylic shellac because I really like the long nail kind of look, and I go in every 2 weeks for a fill in. So I haven't had much damage, and my under nail does grow much faster. But everyone is different.

As a nail tech, the product doesn't do the damage, the nail tech does. Make sure you choose a nail tech you trust! Also, acrylics and gel nails are both VERY durable! The only difference is acrylics are very strong and brittle, where gel nails are strong but flexible. Gel nails also look very natural! (: To keep your natural nails healthy, make sure the nail tech doesn't over file the natural nail, and NO PICKING or tearing your nails off!

Acrylics last much much longer but are more damaging to the nail beds when you get them taken of your nails will be soft and destroyed for a few weeks. They will then strengthen and become normal again. Acrylics usually take longer to do.
