Happy Easter lovelies! :)
I was thinking about my skin care routine and I'm very happy with it. My only question is do you think witch hazel or rose water would be better for my skin (dry skin) over my toner?
I'm currently using Neutrogena Alcohol Free Toner and it leaves my skin so hydrated,I love it.
But I think its time to try something new.
Which would you suggest? What are you opinions?

Rose water is actually just a light fragrance, providing no benefit to the skin although marketted as beneficial for profit.
If you have dry skin, I recommend using Aloe Vera juice instead. Far more beneficial and contains salicylic acid occuring naturally... helps with redness, inflmmation, and helps attract moisture to the skin.

@Reny Do you have any published articles on it? My skin esthetician and derm has mentioned it being a fragrance and essentially useless. I am not sure if you follow Veronica Gorgeious who is a skin esthetician as well, but she has also mentioned it being just fragrance. I am curious about it, although skeptical because I have not achieved any benefits from it other than smelling nice.

I got it at my local organic market (MOMS). I'm not sure where you are but they have several locations in the US. They also have a website that you can purchase from. Thayers.com

You can get the Thayers at GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, or Whole Foods. I suggest making sure its unfiltered and alcohol free so you get the full benefits. I use these two and mix them with my Aztec Healing Clay

My skin loves aloe vera toner and rose water. After my fave from Mario Badsecu was re-formulated into utter garbage I was told to go to an Indian store as well for rose water. It doesn't dry out my skin and is great at removing residual product after cleansing the skin. I wish I discovered it years ago because its better than Mario Badescu.

I do! Mine is straight 100% rose water. It's Alteya Organics Organic Bulgarian Rose Water. And it comes in a fine mist spray bottle, which I love.

I mix rose water, witch hazel and glycerin in a spray bottle:) Then shake and spray! I love it and keep it in the fridge in summer to make it extra refreshing. Perfect for my dry acne prone skin.

I think it depends on what is being classified as rose water. If you're using a Rose Hydrolat or:
" A hydrosol, also known as floral water or hydrolat, is the aromatic water that contains both water soluble plant components and very small amounts of essential oil. This is the solution that remains after an essential oil is distilled via steam distillation."
then there are definitely proven benefits to it's use. Rose essential oil is highly touted as being therapeutic particularly with our skin. Roses themselves are not just perfume or fragrance, they're a medicinal plant. Here's an article discussing this:

Most witch hazel in grocery stores contain a high amount of alcohol, which I personally choose to avoid in skin care products. A witch hazel hydrolat is what I use. I order through Plant Therapy but I'm sure there are other places to buy them!
