Hmmm well it definitely looks like you're having a reaction to something. I always get red itchy rashes on my body and it sucks. Try putting some 100% pure aloe vera gel on it. Not that green stuff you get at the grocery store, but go to a health food store and get the pure gel (it's clear in colour), put it in the fridge to make it cold and then put it on and your should get relief. For the itching the only thing that has worked for me is to put Ice on it. If you have a colf compress put it in the freezer and then wrap it in a towel and apply it to the rash and the itching should go away. If it lasts longer than a few days then I would go to a doctor.

That rash has been on your back for more than a year? It's definitely time to go see a doctor/dermatologist. You may want to ask them about Betaderm Cream. I have bad dermatitis that I get randomly every few months and nothing makes it go away except for this cream.

It may also be a reaction to a certain food or caused by a dairy or gluten allergy. I would also suggest getting a referral to an allergist where they can test for food sensitivities. If you can't find anything from that maybe even consider going to a chemical allergist where they patch test your skin for chemicals found in soaps, lotions, shampoo, metal etc. I really hope you can find out what it is! Good luck!
