I heard so many good reviews about MFE Mat Velvet+ and couldn't wait to try it but I was so disappointed :( It kind of gave me a chalky dull look...I used a beauty blender sponge to apply it which I usually get good results with.To all the people that love this fondation how do you to apply it? Do you use a certain primer?

If you haven't yet, be sure to get your color matched by a professional to make sure you have the right shade. You only need a little bit. When I first tried this foundation I used too much and it made me look like a ghost. I use it with smashbox's photo finish primer and just use my (clean) fingertips to apply. I start with just a little foundation and use very gentle pressure. This foundation builds really well so you can always layer if you need more coverage. It can still make you look a little washed out so be sure to use bronzer and blush.

I don't have an issue with chalky but with it blending. It streaks like crazy for me. Same with the Nars sheer glow. I must be really bad at blending or something because both of these are supposed to be amazing and I can't get either to work.
