I agree with hailey. Also with LV, although it's a lux brand and made with fine materials, I always feel like I'm paying more for the brand and not the quality itself.

I have products from both designers and my Louis vuittons have held up much better than my Prada. Also, not all LV have the monogram on them.

I would go for the LV Epi line for a wallet. I have one that is going on 15 years old and it still looks brand new. Epi is leather and not the coated canvas like the traditional monogram. If you decide on LV I highly advise purchasing sooner rather than later because I heard that prices may go up on the handbags and accessories.

I also have products from both designers. I think it depends a lot on which products you're looking at in particular. For example, the nylon Prada bags hold up absolutely forever, as do the Louis Vuitton Curieuse wallets. It just depends on which products interest you.
