There's no miracle product or technique to make hair grow faster as hair growth is based on genetics, however there are things you can do to help promote hair growth.

-use sulphate free shampoos
-use a hair mask at least once a week
-never brush hair when wet
-use as little heat as possible
-use a heat protectant when you do use heat
-get regular trims
-make sure your ponytails/buns aren't too tight
-drink plenty of water and keep yourself healthy as well

Please do NOT take any kinds of pills, including Biotin, Hairfinity, or any other hair, skin, and nail pills, unless you consult a doctor first. Taking supplements without a deficiency can cause serious health problems.

I know many women that take pre-natal vitamins to help their hair and nail growth. Though it is for pregnant women, I know several people that take them for hair and nail growth.

Don't brush your hair wet, it takes out way more hair than if you did it dry.

Brushing your hair when wet can cause breakage, which why one of the tips that I had listed is "never brush hair when wet". You're supposed to use a wide toothed comb on wet hair.

I agree with Cocoa. My hair is a hot mess, I've had hair dressers innocently not brush my hair while wet with the conditioner and try to do it when dry. Oh boy did they sweat trying to untangle it.

It depends on your texture if you should comb while wet.

Comb your hair wet. don't brush it wet. But brushing your hair dry is supposed to help. thats what my beauty school teacher told me.

Whenever I hear people say that you cannot make hair grow faster and it is all based in genetics, then what about Latisse to make eyelashes grow faster? It does make lashes grow faster, however, isn't lash length also based on genetics?

Nathalie, lashes fall out every few weeks or so, yes Latisse make them grow faster but that's it and only for lashes but there's really no point in my opinion because they're just going to fall out and grow back. They grow regardless. But the hair on on your head is going to grow at the rate it always has and always will, nothing can speed it up. Nothing.

I don't think Latisse makes lashes grow faster. I think it's just to help lashes that don't grow/have issues growing on their own, not necessarily make them grow any faster.

Actually, Alexis, your hair and eyelashes have three stages of growth, the first being actual growth, the second being stasis and the third being that they fall out. Latisse works by keeping the actual growth phase happening for a longer period of time. As soon as you stop using Latisse, your lashes go back to normal.

I used to work in a pharmacy and the girls who would come with prescription for Latisse had super long lashes. However, the pharmacist said that once you stop using it, lashes fall off.
