I've heard real techniques has good brushes. I've never tried them myself but I'm planning on buying the travel essentials set.

The elf brushes are actually awesome for beginners! Especially their eye brushes. They are affordable, durable and do their job. The essentials line isn't very good but the Studio line is one of my favourites and I've got some eyebrushes that compare to my sigma and Mac brushes. Morphs brushes are also nice but way overpriced for the performance they give, there almost exactly like crown brushes which are much cheaper.

I love real techniques and bh cosmetics because they're quite affordable but if you're willing to spend a bit then I really like MAC brushes, especially their eye brushes like the 217.

I really dislike elf brushes because I tend to have quite a heavy hand and the brush loses hairs and they stick to my face. I really like Sigma brushes. They are durable and last forever. They can be quite expensive and I've come to like Real Techniques just as well. Real Techniques has really grown and they have different lines now as well. I hope this helped!
