So my hair is pin straight and it's hard to hold waves and curls. Any ideas on how to help it keep the curl?

Hair gel instead of hairspray and day old hair holds a curl better.

Pin your hair sections up straight ahead after curling them. Then use some good hairspray that you know works for you.

When you're curling your hair wrap the hair around the iron or wand, when you're done let the curl fall into your hand and let it cool for a few seconds. If you just let it drop and hang it will be weighed down and loose its curl.

Try using dry shampoo or a texturizing spray beforehand. It'll help your hair hold the curl better and give you volume too. I love Not Your Mother's sea salt spray and I think bedhead has some good products too.
