Hair removal? Waxing?

I'm assuming this is the right category but if not would you mind moving it please?

I'm going on holiday soon (Camping) and I don't really want to be bothered with shaving so I was thinking about getting a leg and bikini wax. (I don't mind shaving my under arms, it takes all of two seconds)

What are your experiences with waxes?
Are they very painful?
How long before you start to see regrowth?
What things should I look for when picking a salon to get it done?
Anything else I should know?

Legs and underarms doesn't hurt for me... bikini is hell!! regrowth for me is a week, look for a clean salon, someone who throws away every wax stick for each person, you can take a painkiller a hour before

Legs aren't bad at all, bikini hurts a lot. Re growth for me is about 10 days or so, I agree about looking for a clean salon, read reviews online and definitely make sure you're comfortable there.

Okay I have been getting waxed since I was 14 I hate hair on my body I have been doing waxing since I was 16.. as my aunts owned salons and taught me young :) legs are a piece of cake they don't hurt that bad the worst part is right over the bone. bikini is a little more painful... I have really course hair and I always get a full Brazilian... my hair starts to grow back after about two weeks but its very few hairs at first. to make it less painful take an ibuprofen about 30 mins before you go... also exfoliate the day before this will help get rid of any ingrowns and also it seems to make the hairs come out easier... I find it is best for most people to not wear tight fitting pants after... and the hair grows back much slower with our hair growing in cycles fewer hairs grow back at one time.
when picking a salon I would look at reviews... ask around more people get waxes then you probably think. call ahead see what type of wax they use for bikini wax I find that hard waxes don't hurt as bad for the bikini.
