I highly recommend that you stay away from any diy facials, almost every one of them are extremely dangerous or harsh on skin, just pick something up from the store, it's the safest way to go.

Oat meal and honey. Lemon and sugar. Extra virgin olive oil, essential oils like lavender, thyme, and a few others.

Lemon is horrible for your face.

Honey & Salt always works when I have pimples. After that I use tea tree oil. Some people dilute it, I don't.

Lemon is very very bad for your face.
I have discoloration on my hands from using lemons.

Definitely do not use lemons! That whole trend got so warped. Finely ground lemon PEEL is used in some exfoliants. Somehow that turned into people putting the actual juice on their skin... very very bad for you.

Oatmeal mixed with egg whites. works great. for an exfoliation, sugar mixed with honey. I found those worked well after trying numerous ones in esthetics class.

I don't believe anyone said that all diy facials were bad. I still suggest that you just head to the store and pick something up, Taylor.

I agree with shanae, you should just buy something instead of making a diy that can do more harm than good.

I have to agree with Shanae completely. Anyways, as far as face mask go I recommend Queen Helene's Mint Julep. Its cheap and would probably end up costing less by the time you buy stuff for diy's. Boscia (I don't know how to spell) and Origins also have good face mask.

Mixing greek yogurt, honey and oatmeal together is great. I've used it many times.

Taylor asked for ones that actually work so she probably is already aware that some don't and lets try not to be so straight up teaming against ones idea as you never know how they'll take it.
Anyways, I love using a diy skincare routine (creds to Lisa pullano) cleanser:
-1 part calamine lotion (dries out acne, soothes sores, eczema, redness)
-3 parts gentle cleanser or your usual cleanser (I use cetaphil gentle skin cleanser that I bought last year.)
FAV TONER!!:
-1part organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar
-3 parts concentrated green tea water or just filtered water
superduper soothing and hydrating mask (so good after all the acne treatments I once used):
-2 tsp ground oatmeal
-2 tsp plain yogurt
-1/4 to half tsp of favourite facial oil (e.g. avocado oil, olive oil, jojoba oil, castor oil...)
Happy DIYing! :)

There isn't any teaming up going on, only opinions and agreements.
