I've always loved the way red lips look but I can never make it work. What's the best way to make red lips work?

Flawless skin, minimal makeup, loads of black mascara, and a winged liner if you can.

You just have to wear it. The more you wear it, the more you'll be use to seeing yourself in it. You're simply not seeing yourself in it enough. To make sure it looks really good though, make sure your lips aren't chapped and that your lipstick doesn't go out of the lines of your lips. Good luck! Anyone can pull this off, I guarantee it. And yes, black mascara (I disagree with liner) does enhance it.

You also need to pick a red with the right undertones (some have blue, orange, or a pink) the right one will give you the look your wanting
