I've heard that if you put lemon juice in your mouth or baking soda or them both together that it will make your teeth whiter instantly. True or false?

Baking soda itself has no bleaching powers whatsoever. However, it is a mild abrasive and you can scrub off surface stains with it.
Lemon juice? Yes, it bleaches stuff. Would I want to put straight lemon juice in my mouth like that? NO.
Get a whitening toothpaste, dunk your brush in some baking soda and go for it. When you're done, rinse and then swish hydrogen peroxide in your mouth (dilute a 4% solution from the drugstore by about half). It's completely safe and it doesn't have much of a taste. Just, you know, don't swallow it. You wouldn't swallow mouthwash either. Anyway. Do that once or twice a week, continue with the whitening toothpaste as usual on off days and you will have whiter teeth. Guaranteed.
