What's your opinion on the jerome russell blonde hair highlights? My friend wanted opinions on it and it washes out in one shampoo because she doesn't want permanent dye and she doesn't want to bleach her hair. while you're at it can you post your opinion on bleaching your hair? I may do it but I'm not sure please put your opinion on bleaching and on the Jerome Russell highlight if you've ever used it. Thanks!

I haven't used that product but I have bleached my hair to silver before so I know a bit about it. What's worrying you about the bleach?

All of my friends say that after you bleach that supposedly your hair is "ruined?" What does bleach do, I'm still confused about it? What does it do to your hair?

Bleaching your hair is not as bad as its made out to be. I would not do it urself. It will make your hair more dry but in that case you just need to care for it more. Deep conditioners and a good regular shampoo and conditioner.

I feel like most people don't even know when a stylist is using bleach because in most cases when people get highlights n things done bleach is being used in the process.

Bleach strips pigment from your hair and that's why when it's "white" it's actually translucent because the bleach has taken all the pigment (colour) out of it. Personally bleach did take a toll on my hair, however I always had difficult colours to remove when I was bleaching like red or dark brown/black so I did have to bleach a couple of times to get where I wanted to be, however if your hair is already on the lighter side it won't be so scary because your hair will lift faster then if it were dark. It really isn't that bad, it's when you don't use the correct percentage of peroxide like 10,20,30,40 volume. I always tell people don't go near 40, I like to use 20 And bleach twice (within. 2/4 week period) rather then use 40vol and have the colour I want in one go but have broken, elastic like hair. If cared for before and after any lightning your hair can still be kept in pretty good condition. :)

If you want to bleach your hair go to the salon initially and do some research after and before and maybe you can touch it up after yourself.
