I heard somewhere glycerin would be good for dry skin. I have a weird rash that may be eczema but I'm not sure. It's really dry, usually red, very itchy, and I have scabs all over (because I scratch it). It's mostly located on my calves and the insides of my elbows, but it has been spreading to my thighs, forearms, and chest. If anyone know what this is, PLEASE let me know!!!
But for now I'm going to try the glycerin. So! How exactly do I use it to be most effective? Or is there something else I could use? I've tried a lot of things and nothing has worked.. This has been going on for almost 7 years now and I am so tired of it.. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hey!
I know I'm super late to this, but I literally had the same probably as you, through out childhood and everything!! Then my eczema started spreading to my neck and eyelids, so I needed to fix it!
Eczema is just really dry skin, so we need to hydrate it. I did a lot of googling and found 100% vegetable glycerin! It's about $5 from wholefoods or about $20 from eBay (I live in Australia) I mix a couple of drops in with my normal body/face moisturiser (depending where you use it) and use as normal. Or if it's a really intense rash I'd use the VG directly.. But play around with what works.
You can also go to your Doctor and get a steroid cream, but don't use that on sensitive areas! It'll get the rash away but then your left with red raw skin!
I hope you've found a solution by not! But if not, any other questions in happy to answer :)
