I washed all my babies tonight, but is it okay to dry them on their sides like this? I don't really have a way to hang them... Also, when you buy new brushes do you wash them prior to use or just use them?

Also, has anyone use the Still spa essentials brushes? I think they came from Walmart. My mom bought them for me. If so what are your thoughts?

This is exactly how 9 lay mine as well. They look fine after they dry. I always wash my new brushes. I'm sure there are lots of hands that touch them in the process of making. So I feel safer washing them!

I roll one end of the towel to create a ledge and lie my brushes with the bristles down on that so they're at an angle. I find that helps keep the water out of the ferrule.
