For the hair diffuser that goes on your hair dryer: what exactly does it do? I know it somewhat scrunches or curls your hair.
Do you have to buy serums, gel etc... for it?
Any cheap recommendations?

The hair diffuser is great for beachy waves and loose curls so you could try the Not Your Mothers beach spray, on the bottle it says works with diffusers. Or you could use any of the Garnier Fructice mousses or leave in conditioners!

It's just the way curls "should" be dried (as opposed to a regular dryer) when not air drying. Just use whatever products you like for your curls/waves, scrunch, and then diffuse. I usually flip my hair upside down while diffusing to give it some more volume.

Depending on your hair type...
for curly hair it helps keep down the frizz while drying it gently.
if you want waves use a curl gel n scrunch through your hair while either wet or damp, use the diffuser to cup your hair n dry it.

@brooke, I have thin wavy hair so would I would use it for waves, if I put the gel in would it make my hair wet looking and feel hard/crispy?
