Is it possible that my hair and nails don't grow as fast as they used to because I'm a vegetarian?? my hair used to be super long and grow fast. but now it's stayed at the same length for the 3 years. I was wondering maby because I am lacking some vitamins?

It could be. I don't know much about that, but you could be lacking protein which helps your hair grow nice, long, and healthy. My friend is a vegetarian and her hair is really short and doesn't grow long at all.

If you eat lots of vegetables like broccoli, you should be getting just as much protein as when you ate meat
You may lack B12 which is from meat, so I'd ask your doctor about taking a B12 supplement

It is. I used to be vegan and when I was , my hair was falling out and it didn't grow for almost a year. Being vegetarian/vegan requires a lot of maintenance so make sure you eat a lot of protein , take multivitamins , eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, etc.

My hair has always grown really fast. it's seemed to have stayed about the same length since I started being a vegetarian. I take a multi vitamin, iron and b12.

You should eat a lot of chic peas, lentils, green peas and such as they have protein. vegetables have vitamins in them, but not protein. the hair is built out of protein blocks called keratin so that's why you need to have protein in your diet.

Take some vitamins with iron in them because you do t eat meat your body needs iron always I have to take them sometimes but for another reason I love some meat but could definitely give up a bunch of it too

But be careful because bones are also built from protein so you should start eating some as fast as you can! other examples for protein: egg (is the best protein for the human body) and cheese. you don't have to eat them together because they are both protein but make sure you have protein in your diet as it can cause unfixable problems!

Don't take any pills until you see a doctor to get your levels tested.

You could go to a nutritionist and they will help you.
