It's summer, and I want to change up my foundation routine and give my skin some sort of a break. Do you guys have any foundation application routine to make your skin look dewy? Or any foundations that make your skin look dewy. My skin has acne but it has toned down a little bit, and I'm trying to get clear skin. I know I should probably go make up free, but occasionally I would like to wear makeup. Hvae any suggestions?😋

Use illuminating skin products, try avoiding powder, and don't use mattifying foundations. you can also try finding a setting spray that gives you a dewy look.

Beauty blender! Wet it and just blend the foundation into your song with it.

I found that using highlighter makes your foundation look more dewy, also the bare minerals skin foundation is dewy :)

Beauty blender does not give you a dewy finish at all.
If you have a matte foundation and you use it your foundation will still be matte, a beauty blender doesn't change that.
Use a highlighter.
You can use a liquid highlighter underneath your foundation, mixed with your foundation or on top of your foundation. (Becca, NARS & josie maran have amazing liquid highlighters)
you can put a powder highlighter on top of the liquid as well. (Soft & gentle, opal, mary-loumanizer, etc.)
fix + from MAC is a life saver. It takes off the whole "powder" look and makes you a bit more dewy.
oh and they just came out with new fix + scents. (Coconut, rose, lavender, cucumber & yuzu)
just know that if you have acne on your cheekbones the powder highlighter will accentuate your acne a lot.

And you do NOT have to use a dewy foundation to achieve a dewy finish.
you can use a matte foundation and lather yourself up in highlighter and you won't tell a difference.
Plus if your oily it will be good to use a matte foundation.
if your oily you will look horrible by the end of the day using a dewy foundation and highlighter. (Trust me I know)
I only recommend dewy foundations for normal/ dry and/or combo skin.
Highlighting makes a huge difference with a matte foundation (;

Use dewy luminous foundation (NOT matte ones!!) for example nars luminous foundation or drugstore one : loreal lumi foundation, and don't set it with the powder (if possible) you might want to use shimmery highlighter just to get it all right. For conclusion, just don't matt your face

If you apply liquid highlighter underneath your foundation or bb cream or whatever you use, I find that that really gives you a natural glow.

Jacqueline is so right, your skincare regimen is so important to achieve a certain look. I always see so many people asking how to achieve the dewy look or a flawless face but they're using makeup remover wipes and bar soap as their skincare routine lol. A good skincare routine is the most important part of makeup and with that regimen you'll have glowy amazing skin and will not need so many products to achieve that look.
