Hm maybe give it a couple more weeks? If it doesn't get better by then I would definitely toss it. What product is it?

Please don't put lemon topically on your skin, it's too acidic and can through off the oh balance of your skin which is another problem you don't need! Sabrina has it right, drink lots of water, add lemon to that if you like!

It probably won't make a big different! But if you drink a shot of hot water with lemon as the very first thing when you wake up in the morning it will help your body (din lever og dine nyre) to clean out the toxins from the day before! I don't know how true it is, I was told by a nutritionist and I do it and I like it, I feel like my body is cleaner haha but you know it might be placebo!

It sounds like something that is used by facialists prior to doing extractions. The solution just acts as a lubricant so to speak to help push up the gunk to make extracting a little easier. So what you're currently using is probably the same idea just minus the extraction part hence the reason why all this gunk is coming to head on skin resulting what you're experiencing now. Definitely do not incorporate any other products into your program because it could make things worse than what they are. As another beauty mentioned its common for products to take anywhere from 6-8 weeks to see a drastic change.

You could try an aspirin mask on the biggest ones to see if it'll bring the pain down a little :)

Putting a warm compress over the really bad ones could help lessen the pain. I would say if the pain is really bad it may not be the best choice for you. Maybe talk to your doctor about this factor.
