Using dark shadows only on your outer lid will make your eyes appear bigger, using dark colours in the inner eyelid will make your eyes appear smaller, its similar to this diagram I have attached. Also fake lashes would enhance the big eyes look.

I used brown eyeshadow, white in the inner corner of my eye, big lashes and a winged eye ( black liner). My
eyes literally popped out! Thanx!

I love using white liner on my water line! I find when I put light colors in the inner corner of my eyes too it makes them bigger
