I personally don't like weaves. They will not mess up your hair line if done by a professional, but since it's large wefts of hair your hair gets tangled at the top and it does end up pulling hair and damaging it. I personally prefer tape ins, or even glue ins to weaves.

No they only damage your hairline when braids are done too tight. don't do glue ins... that will completely damage your hair. tape ins wouldn't be the best option for you unless you get a Brazilian blowout or a relaxer.
if you do get a weave keep some leave out around the edges as well as on the top. keep the leave out on the edges to prevent from pulling on them.
there are so many different ways to do sewins now. so you are best talking to the person doing the sewin so they can tell you what they think is best for your needs and also what's best for the style you want.

It depends on how tight you vet the sew in...and I would stay away from wearing lace wig glue ins all the time bow that will take your hairline back a few inches haha!
