I have a lot of dead ends that I usually get cut off right before summer starts, but this year I'm not sure if I should wait that long because I don't want my dead/split ends to gets worse and have the hairdresser have to cut off more. If I do wait another month, will my dead ends be that much worse? Or should I just get them cut off now?

It's better to just cut them now and not wait.

Yeah I'm considering that Ashley, but I also use a lot of heat like straighteners and curlers, so I'm not sure if it'd even be worth it. I don't use any heat during the summer @Ashley D.

They will just get worse if you don't cut them now, and you may end up having to cut off more when summer rolls around.
I would get a trim and make sure you use heat protecting spay

Get a haircut every 6-8 weeks! After 8 weeks your ends start to split and your hair isn't growing anymore it's just breaking off. Best to get the ends healthy before they have a chance to break shorter than what you want
