I plan on buying quite some things as I will buy also to have as several backups as were I live, even drugstore is expensive (example revlon colorstay foundation costs $20 full price)
I will be in the California (Palo Alto/San Francisco) Thanks for your help!

Ulta. They sell both drugstore and some highend makeup. A lot of the time ulta has buy one get one 50% off drugstore makeup + you can use a -3.50$ off (which you can find on their website).

I would definitely go to ulta since they sell both.
I would still go to sephora and MAC though!

I think for drugstore makeup, it's always cheapest at Walmart! I find it's usually most expensive at CVS / Walgreens, but only like 1$ or 2$ difference. For example, a Revlon powder I use is around 9$ at Walmart and the same powder is like $11 at Walgreens. It's really not a significant price difference lol, but I'm cheap so I notice!
I also agree with Ulta but definitely think a trip to Sephora would be amazing if you have the time, just for the experience lol! I still remember my first ever Sephora trip :)

I buy in ulta or sephora depending on the offer and free gifts they have...ha ha...I am really a sucker for gift with purchases! but if you are in a time crunch, ulta will offer you more variety! I also agree with Grace... I think you should visit sephora even though you get everything you want elsewhere he he...happy shopping!

Ulta and sephora. I think target has lower prices than walgreens and cvs. walmart just to get hard candy foundation and concealer.

Ulta as people have mentioned but I would try to get your hands on a newspaper/sales circular for any of the drugstores. Or you could probably download their apps as well and get the info there. While the actual drugstores like CVS or Walgreens may be more expensive they will also sometimes have deals like buy one get one or buy one get one half off on certain brands. But I think Ulta might be simpler in the long run as it has all kinds of brands. I find it hard sometimes to locate which drugstores carry which products as some don't carry certain ones and then I have to backtrack, while Ulta usually has it all under one roof :)

I would definitely recommend the Nordstrom rack because you get the best deals there. Recently the too faced Ross&Rachel and Carrie&Big blushes and bronzers were spotted there for about $11 when its retail value is around $30.
