If they are tape ins, apply one black tape in (bottom piece) and one piece of tape in the ginger (the top piece)

When I do clients who want a highlight to it I do the colored piece on the bottom half of the sandwich and then the hair color on top... this makes it look more natural as I feel like when the colored is on top it doesn't look as much like a highlighted piece

Really? I've tired them both ways and find that when its on the bottom it doesn't look good at all especially when there's a high contrast

It all depends on the color with darker hair I feel it looks best on bottom with some lighter clients I usually put it on top it depends on there color
