I personally wouldn't put any type of oil on acne skin, unless it's all cleared up and left with scarring.

Supposedly coconut oil can sooth and heal. But I would also not put any oil on my skin.

Coconut oil is fine you can use it for all kinds of things including as a lotion that's what I do and mix it with other things like shea butter.

I don't know about coconut oil for acne I've never heard of using that but I know that tea tree oil is good for acne but it has to be diluted with others types of oils depending on what your skin is like you can dilute it with coconut oil if you have dry skin and almond or jojoba oil for oily but tea tree oil isn't for everyone it can be to harsh on some people's skin

I wouldn't suggest using coconut oil on your face because it's an oil it will clog up your pores and make your face oily. On the other hand, it works wonders on damaged hair, and skin on your body! Some good home remedies for acne, are:
Believe it or not , toothpaste, just apply a tiny bit of it on the spot and it will work as disinfectant and dry up the spot.
Tea tree oil works, dab on a bit of this with a cotton bud. Also, drink lots of water! I found that helps alot! Hope this helped

Coconut oil does NOT clog pores. Do your research! It's an excellent natural product and I would highly recommend.

I've tried coconut oil on my face before and it doesn't work. It clogs your pores and adds more oil to your face. I wouldn't recommend it.

I wouldn't use any type of oil in my skin since its oily.. Because it can cause excess of oil production in the skin and clog pores with causes acne .. So I wouldn't recommend using it

Some oils can help balance oil production, not all oils are going to clog pores or make skin more oily. I use maracuja oil personally and it absorbs into the skin and nourishes it, rather than clogging the pores. And from what I understand coconut oil is not a type of oil that clogs pores. But everyone's skin is different so I'm sure its possible for some to get clogged pores from it. But I love my oil treatments! I've seen such a difference in my skin's overall health since I started using it, I'm sad I didn't try one sooner. So I would recommend trying an oil of some kind, whether its coconut, maracuja, or something else. It could be that you have acne because your skin isn't as hydrated as it should be so its producing too much oil. Unless its hormonal acne of course.

Thank you all very much!💜 I've been researching it all day and it is not supposed to clog pores and it is said to have antibacterial agents in it so I will be giving it a shot.. :)

I use it at night for moisturizer! It clears up any dry patches on my skin. Makes it glow. I've noticed my acne and has reduced quite a bit since using it. It's great for taking makeup off too.

I love how uninformed most of you are about oils!! Oils are GOOD for your skin!!
All the corporate companies that sell chemicals in bottles to slather on your faces have corrupted so many people to believe oil is a bad thing.
Coconut oil is one of
The best things you can do for your skin!

And no coconut oil does not clog pores or cause breakouts!
It may bring the dirt to the surface initially but that's. good thing.

@Ashley S. have you used coconut oil? Did it help for acne?

Oil is good for the skin. Only certain types of oil clog pores. Its a myth that drying out acne clears it up. You need moisturized healthy skin in order for it to heal. Go ahead and try coconut oil because everyones skin is different. Keep in mind, though, there might be a purging period and you will think the oil is breaking you out but if it goes away in about a week then your skin will be fine. If not then stop using the product. Good luck!
