Haha,Luke,I did that too when I was starting back in highschool :) You can do it ofc,its your choice,but imo with the tran.color technique you get much quicker and seamless result,and also it gives a new dimension to the eye imo,when for example the tran.color is nude but the opposite undertone of the main color... Like for example a navy smokey looks so good to me when blended with a warm tan color on the crease :)

A transition color is the color you put in and a bit above your crease! I like to use one that is just a shade or 2 darker then my skin tone, so I use a very light brown color :)
