I just got the Beauty blender, however I didnt get any of the two special cleansers were they really neccesary? Are there any other methods to clean it? how often should it be cleaned?

Use a bar of soap. I use loccitane soap and it works great! I clean mine after every second use.

On the package of my 'makeup blender' I bought recently, it said you can wash it in the washing machine on 60'C like Rida said!
