I like the way loose curls look but whenever I try and curl my hair it turns into fat tight curls . How do I get them loose and long?

assuming you are using a curling iron/wand, you can try using a larger diameter- like 1.25 or 1.5. You can also use a larger section of hair when rolling up your curl. I find that if I use a bigger chunk of hair for each curl, it turns out looser. Also, after you've unrolled the curl, use your fingers to loosen up the coil. To do this, you can grab the end of the curl between your thumb and finger & give it a little shake and even gently tug in a downward direction as it cools
