Looking to find out what the definition of day time makeup is.

Well daytime makeup can be different for everyone, you can wear whatever you want day or night :) But often daytime makeup reference to lighter makeup, more subtle makeup :) For some that might mean using a bb cream instead of a foundation or using lighter toned eyeshadow instead of dark tones... Or maybe skipping the eyeliner!
But really there's no right "daytime" makeup - it's all about how you like to apply your makeup in the day time!

I don't see anything wrong with a red lip for work :) But check if your work place have any rules about apperience and if they don't then rock the red lip :) You can also rock a red gloss if you feel that's more appropriate :)

Yeah like Sabrina said a red lip is daytime appropriate. Mostly it means no dark smokey eyes, everything else is fine. But since it's older people make you should ask around if it's fine or if you can just try to keep it in neutrals.

It's really something you have to define for yourself. If you feel comfortable leaving the house at 7 am with red lips and a smokey eye, that's a daytime look for you!

I work in a nursing home and I go all out with my makeup. Bold eyeshadow, bright lipstick, I do it all. I wear a full face almost every day. I get a lot of compliments from residents. The facility I work at is run by a church, but I've never gotten talked to about how much I wear. May just depend on wear you work 😀

Day time makeup is more natural, subtle. The red lip could be appropriate with very little eye makeup, maybe just mascara. But I wouldn't wear it to work. It might be okay for just hanging around the city, but try to keep the "self expression" outside of the work environment :) by the way you look beautiful in that picture!
