I don't really consider your hair that short. It's actually about my length and I'm still able to do updo's when I want. Granted it takes more pins due to all my layers to keep it in place, but still achievable.

Lilith moon also has a ton of hairstyles on her youtube chanel. She has about the same length hair as you. Normally she applies extensions but there are some styles without them.
