Is my hair to thick for hair extensions??

Recently I had a (very) bad haircut and my immediate reaction was to look for some hair extensions , however all hair extensions I find are to 'help boost the volume/thickness' of hair. I have friends who wear hair extensions and they all said they turned to them as their hair was very fine and thin - mine is the complete opposite. At the minute , my hair is in a medium length Bob with very thick hair ; I was wondering - are hair extensions the best option?
( any responses would be hopeful as I am thinking of ordering some on the weekend and need to know if it's worth it)

I have thick hair and I use Bellami extensions and they look amazing. They are double wefted and super thick and long.
