So I went to my hairdresser to get my hair cut and she gave me a lot of tips that are already improving my hair's health and it looks much better!
I have curly hair that's quite frizzy. It used to be long but now it falls just below my collarbone.
-Do two rounds of shampooing. Just shampoo your hair as usual but instead of rinsing it out, apply some more. Do this very thoroughly and let it foam a lot.
-Don't use conditioner in the shower. I always did this and then let it in my hair for a few minutes before rinsing it out. My hairdresser adviced me to use spray conditioner after my shower. She even gave me a bottle to try it out. Why use spray conditioner instead of regular conditioner? Because the conditioner I use in the shower makes my hair flat and less curly than it naturally is.
-French/Dutch braid my hair at night but pull the strands once you're done. If you've got your hair braided really tightly, your roots won't be curly in the morning. I always wondered why my roots weren't curly so now I've got my answer.

I never thought to use a spray conditioner in place of actual conditioner. I'm going to have to try that and see if I like the result!

It goes against everything in me not to use conditioner in the shower but it's worth a shot! Thanks for the tips :)

@Kayla I had the exact same reaction at first but it made my hair much softer and it shortened my time in the shower!
