I don't think so you don't want that to get in your eye plus doo gro has a strong perfume smell.

I wouldn't at all! Eyes are too delicate to even risk it.

I don't think so. You shouldn't be using hair oil on your lashes since it's probably not meant for your eyes. I think the only thing to grow eyelashes is latisse and your doctor has to prescribe it to you.

I wouldn't recommend it.

NO!! Don't do it, don't do it!! That stuff is formulated for your hair/scalp and not for your eyelashes. It has fragrance that is not eye friendly.

If a product is not specifically made for the eye area, it's best to use caution and find something else.

Castor oil can be used, lightly.

No. And no castor or other oils or vaseline either. They just trap bacteria and trap eyelashes that are supposed to fall out. Your eyelashes are completely replaced about every 21 days, so lots fall out daily and more grow, putting oils will just trap them and cause infections and eye problems. They are not meant to be near the eyes. It just creates a breeding ground for bacteria.

I have to disagree on all oils. I use jojoba and it doesn't clog pores. It's also used for hair growth but not on eyelashes, though it's used as a makeup remover and antiaging. If you're looking to grow eye lashes there are a few treatments through sephora intended for that purpose that are applied like a mascara. That would be your best bet. Certainly don't risk your eyes!

The only oil that is safe would be coconut because it's antibacterial. Jojoba doesn't clog pores but it's still an oil that will trap bacteria in your last line. Your lash line is much different than your skin or scalp. It's much easier to get an infection or do damage to your eyes than it is to your scalp.

Plus, the only proven thing to grow eyelashes is latisse. Oils just condition and coat (causing issurs). Which with the short cycle of eyelashes, its not going to do anything noticeable before they fall out.

Anyway, if you're looking for quick fixes to lashes, they also have fiber mascaras, some people live by them though I've never tried them because I don't want fibers in my eyes. You can do lash extensions though they can be quite costly to start and keep up with. Or the ever popular faux lashes, which can look great but be a pain in the butt and in my personal experience temporarily flatten my natural lashes.

I completely agree with Alyx. Nothing will work except Latisse and it's only available in prescription. Everything else is complete nonsense.

What is latisse anyway?

It's basically prescription clear mascara you use everyday, it has been proven to grow lashes. But it comes with side effects

But you need a doctor's prescription for it, so it can be hard to get. And it's expensive.

Shanae J.

Unbelievably expensive.

Oh yea I think I've seen that on tv before. I'm fine with my lashes, they're nothing to brag about but the right mascara makes me happy.

Reny I'd be careful with those, they can be factory defects that get sold in bulk cheaply. It's the same thing with at liquidation places, they buy bulk bins and storage spaces that got damaged or weren't in proper storing conditions, so buying the cosmetics is always a risk. If it's discounted insanely cheap, its probably to good to be true. A prescription here for one bottle is around 275$

The only spas that sell them in store must have a dermatologist who backs them.

I would recommend using original Vaseline. Coat it lightly on your eyelashes before bed.

Again, don't use any oil or vaseline on your eyelashes. It's an infection waiting to happen.

Definitely do not use vaseline!!
