Look on the packaging or under the bottle and find an image of a little open jar with a number and an M beside it. This will tell you the product's shelf life after its first use.

It does. Foundation is normally 12 to 24 months. Powders last the longest amount of time from what I've seen.

Best trick I've learned so far from an artist at the Bobbi brown counter - pop your liquid foundation in the fridge to store it for as long as you want without having bacteria grow in it. It's perfect for storing your darker winter foundation or vice versa!

Concealer~Up to 12 months
Powder~2 years
Cream & gel cleansers~1 year

Pencil eye liner~Up to 3 years (Haha not for me personally though, I can't make it past 3 months before its all used up!)
Eyeshadow~Up to 3 years
Brushes~Wash every 2-3 months in a mild detergent
Foundation~Check the ingredients: A water-based foundation will last up to 12 months, oil-based will last up to 18 months.
Lip liner~Up to 3 years.
Lipstick~Some experts say 1-2 years. Others say up to 4 years.
Mascara~This product expires the fastest: Throw out after 4 months.
Nail Polish~Up to 12 months

Yes it does also on the bottle it may have a picture on the side of a jar with the lid open and inside it will say something like 12m for twelve months
