I personally like the brand RAW, I used their teal and their peacock blue (which is really dark) and loved the color turnout.

Manic Panic is one of the best when it comes to unnatural colors! Do NOT use Splat!!

I personally only like special effects or manic panic. But unnatural colors aren't one size fits all. It's very dependent on your hair what works and lasts longest for you. For some people ion lasts longest, for me it washes out in two washes, for me special effects lasts well up to 3 months without retouching at all and manic panic close to two. Some people it ladts a week. You'll just have to experiment.
But I suggest sticking to bottled brands, not packages like splat and ion. Veggie dyes are vegetable pigment mixed with conditioner. Splat and ion are just basically pigment (same as in any hair dye - not vegan) mixed with gelatin and has no conditioning properties.
But manic panic, special effects, directions, punky color etc.are all good veggie dyes.
