Braids are less damaging, No tight pony tails for night time. Also get yourself a satin or silk pillow case, they are relatively cheap depending where you get yours from. They provide slip so your hair isn't pulled at night, and they don't suck out moisture like cotton does.
Mousse works on wet hair as well, no need to blow dry! All elastics tend to tug out hair, but the least damaging are the soft scrunchies.
And to get curls I would just do flexi rods! They are relatively cheap and harmless, you can put them on over night.

Goodies makes these soft hair tie/bracelet things (I obviously don't remember the name lol) that are amaaaazing. No more hair clumped around the rubberband. You can get it at most drugstores, but target usually has coupons for them.

I was able to find mone at a linens store for $7 (it was a whole pillow though) So I would try to check those out! You can also try asking Sabrina, she might know where to get them.
If you blow dry with a round brush in an upwards motion youd get more volume :)

1. If you're going to wear it up at all, wear it LOOSELY! Wearing it tightly can cause you to permanently damage your hair follicles (at the hairline) which causes permanent hair loss if you don't realize this problem early on. Also agree with kitty on the silk pillow case and no tight hairstyles for bed, just NEVER wear tight hairstyles haha.
2. The mousse should still work unless you have pin straight hair then heat helps hold the curl more. BUT there is an alternative, just braid your hair at night while its damp with some mousse in it, and wake up the next morning take it out and style-you can add more mousse if needed. Usually that'll hold a curl, and for a few days too. Tons of YouTube videos on that! (Look up "how to scrunch hair without heat")
4. Any that don't have rubber bands in them. Sephora has some.
