Hello! So I have a dance competition today and since I'm competing with older girls my teacher wants us to contour. However I have absolutely no idea were to even start or what to use?!?! (Probably more subtle would be great for me)

*bronzer

You'll want to use a cool toned, grayish-brown shade to contour. As Hailey said, bronzers are warm toned and are meant to add warmth to the skin rather than to create a shadow.

And #3 These are to show you wear to contour. The girls above are right, you want to use a cool toned powder or cream. Alot of people actually use concealers to achieve this look, especially if they're on a budget. I personally use a bronzer, but mostly because it's not as warm as others, it's matte(not shiny/sparkly), and it stays very well. I use Hoola Benefits Matte Bronzer, but it is pretty pricey. You can look around your area for cool toned stick or cream concealers, one light and one dark. If you end up getting a liquid or cream, try to find a powder to keep the shine away, the last thing you want is to be is too shiny on stage :) If you don't have a powder to help with tjay, I recommend Stay Matte Pressed Powder by Rimmel. It's only around $4 :) I hope I helped! Xx

The contour and highlight colors in these images should not actually be the tones you place on your skin. If you use colors this light/dark it will look very unnatural. To create a natural contour use cool tones that are closer to your skintone, if that makes any sense.
